Caring for our furry friends

Welcome to our heartwarming dogs and cats volunteering project!

Join us in providing love, care, and a second chance to our furry friends in need. As a volunteer, you’ll have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of abandoned or rescued dogs and cats. From feeding and grooming to socializing and training, your time and compassion will help these animals find their forever homes. Whether you’re walking dogs, cuddling cats, or assisting with adoption events, every small act of kindness makes a difference. Together, we can create a safe haven and promote responsible pet ownership. Join our dedicated team of volunteers today and experience the joy of wagging tails and purring companionship!”

About

the Project

At our dogs and cats volunteering project, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care and ensuring the well-being of our four-legged friends. We believe that every animal deserves love, comfort, and nourishment. Here’s a glimpse into how we care for them:

Meet Lucky!
We found this sweet girl on the side of the road. She had just been hit by a car. People were walking by her as she was suffering, paralyzed, and laying in a pile of her own urine and feces. We could not just leave her there to die, so we gently lifted her up and took her home. We bathed her and brought her to the vet for an exam. She had shattered her pelvis, severed her spinal cord, and could not move the lower half of her body. We let her rest for the weekend, giving her plenty of food and water, and keeping her as warm and as clean as possible. Today, we constructed her a wheelchair using PVC piping, some glue, and few wheels we got at a bike shop. There is still a lot of healing that needs to happen, but in the mean time, she is a lively and happy puppy who loves having the freedom to roam and sniff the earth. This is what the Stray Dog project is all about. We will keep you posted on Lucky’s progress! @ Balapitiya, Sri Lanka
